Tierra del Sol helps strengthen the community by volunteering

Tierra del Sol has been volunteering with CCRC for close to five years. While Tierra del Sol volunteers have helped most of CCRC’s departments at one point or another, they mainly volunteer in our Head Start department. There are usually 4-6 volunteers, and they each volunteer about eight hours each week. They’re very flexible, fast learners who have provided an extra support to the agency.

We’d love to thank our Tierra del Sol volunteers for supporting Head Start by:

  • Building enrollment packages
  • Sorting communications materials between headquarters and Head Start centers
  • Helping Head Start teachers by prepping materials for their activities

Tierra del Sol serves the entire community by helping over 500 men and women with developmental disabilities to contribute to society through community volunteerism, creative artistic expression, and gainful employment.
