CCRC’s community partnerships strengthen our outreach efforts. We are extremely proud of our recent partnership with USL’s AV Alta FC!
AV Alta Football Club, commonly referred to as AV Alta FC, is an American professional soccer team based in Lancaster, California. First announced in 2023, the team has been playing in the USL League One since 2025. Their home field is Lancaster Municipal Stadium, also known as “The Hangar”.
This collaboration between Child Care Resource Center and AV Alta holds significant value as we continue to engage with the Antelope Valley community, raise awareness about CCRC’s resources and programs, and make a stronger impact on the youth.
Building community is the driving force for both organizations. The club’s initiatives, including its free-to-play youth academy and family-friendly match experiences, reflect a commitment to creating accessible sporting opportunities, enhancing their reputation as a community-focused entity, and aligning with values that resonate deeply within with the Antelope Valley. Therefore, it only made sense for us to team up for a soccer clinic for children! On July 29th, we joined forces to deliver a free soccer clinic focused on basic fundamentals, sportsmanship, and fun for children ages 7-12. We cannot thank AV Alta enough for collaborating with us to host an amazing event and help uplift children through sport!

And our collaboration efforts with the club doesn’t stop there! This Saturday, on September 13th, we are hosting a children’s literacy theme night during their match against One Knoxville SC. We will be distributing 1,000 Raise a Reader book bundles that include six bilingual books in one bundle, and co-branded What A Difference A Book Makes bookmarks with tips on reading to your child. For 16 years, CCRC has been committed to giving children a bright start through our What a Difference a BOOK Makes campaign! In total, 1.6 million books have been distributed to children in Northern Los Angeles County and San Bernardino Counties!
Additionally, Hispanic educator and author of several bilingual/multicultural award-winning children’s books including “I Am René, the Boy, René Colato Laínez”, will be in attendance signing autographs! And of course, CCRC staff will also be on hand to share all about our programs and resources.
AV Alta FC continues to solidify their role as a cornerstone of community development for children and families in the Antelope Valley. Their shared commitment and dedication to inspiring the next generation make this collaboration both meaningful and impactful.
