[Annex] TIC Module 4 Responding to Childhood Trauma (RIG)

In Module 4: Responding to Childhood Trauma, of this Trauma Informed Care series. Instructors will be looking at factors such as diversity, addiction, challenging families and other dynamics and the challenges they create for providers. Providers have a chance to shared their current experiences, and receive feedback from trainers and colleagues.

To include topics such as:

  1. The risk and protective factors that contribute to child and family resiliency
  2. Engaging families with sensitivity and awareness of transgenerational trauma.
  3. Supporting the foster parent and biological parent relationship
  4. Working with divers, challenging family systems, family addiction patterns and developmental delays.
  5. Observing developmental red flags and interpreting behavior in young children.
  6. Referrals and interventions for developmentally delayed children.
  7. How to respond during a crisis.
