[Victorville] Module 4: Responding to Childhood Trauma (RIG)

Event Date: Thursday, May 07, 2020

Event Hours: 06:30pm - 09:30pm

The CCRC Family Well Being Division invites you to participate in our Trauma Informed Care provider trainings. In these trainings, you will have the opportunity to learn how trauma affects a child cognitively and emotionally. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to support children and families who have had traumatic experiences.

In Module 4: Responding to Childhood Trauma (RIG), this training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care by helping providers understand the message behind a child’s behavior and provider’s strategies to build healthy attachments with all children. Trauma specific strategies are also provided, offering more ways to help regulate a dysregulated child and build secure, consistent attachments with children in your care.
