 Kaleidoscope Play & Learn
Kaleidoscope Play & Learn is CCRC’s engaging early learning program for young children 0-5. The goal of Kaleidoscope is to support parents, caregivers, family, friends, neighbors and exempt providers in preparing children for success in school and life through quality early childhood experiences.
ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES WITH KALEIDOSCOPE!
• Play is a child’s work. It is how they learn, discover, and come to understand the world.
• Learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom with a paper and pencil.
• We can encourage children to play by making the time to interact and explore with them.
• Play helps children think symbolically. Watch their imagination at work!
CCRC’s Kaleidoscope facilitators plan weekly curriculums based on a topic provided by the California Child Care Resource and Referral Network. Everyone sings and plays, and then reads stories based on the week’s topic. An activity and snacks follow.
Caregivers go home with resources, information and activity ideas that they can implement at home with the children in their care — like how to make play dough or create recyclable art.
In the San Bernardino office, Kaleidoscope Play & Learn is offered every Friday. There are two sessions, 9:30 am - 11:00 am and 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm. To RSVP for the San Bernardino Office call (909) 890-0018 ext. 2057.
