CCRC Offers Virtual Trainings to Assist Child Care Providers
Throughout the pandemic, CCRC has consistently offered virtual trainings and workshops. Child care providers can take advantage of free programs that cover everything from social emotional foundations for children to COVID-19 health and safety measures. The training sessions are typically denoted on the calendar in orange. They’re free to the providers in CCRC’s network and some trainings are offered in Spanish.
Here are some of the upcoming trainings:
Los Angeles County Community Care Licensing Updates focuses on how to re-open a child care facility safely during the pandemic, including restrictions and recommendations.
Effectively Engaging with Preschool Children examines the importance of positive interactions between children and adults, and identifies common challenges in the child care setting along with potential solutions.
Health and Safety in Child Care Settings during the COVID-19 Pandemic informs child care providers on how to prevent the spread of the virus in their child care facility and offers hygiene and sanitization tips.
Child Care Disaster Preparedness instructs child care providers on managing the different phases of a disaster emergency: mitigate, prepare, respond, and recover.
Los Efectos de la Violencia Doméstica is a Spanish language course designed to help child care providers understand the cycle of violence, how it impacts children, and their obligation to report suspected abuse.
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention addresses the
potential for lead poisoning in children and identifies
ways child care providers can prevent accidental poisoning. This Lead Poisoning Prevention (LPP) training is EMSA approved and meets the requirements for new child care licenses issued on or after July 1, 2020. Participants will receive a certificate.
Safe Sleep, Safe Baby delves into best practices for providing a safe sleeping environment and examines the different factors like nutrition and physical requirements that impact sleep.
