Supporting and Connecting Communities
Virtual Trainings
Teachers, Home Based Educators and Family Child Care Providers had access to virtual coaching and professional development training, which is offered in English and Spanish. Trainings provided throughout the week included topics of nutrition, safe care setting, social-emotional child development and pandemic safety, among other focuses.
Resource Awareness
An important factor in helping families is making sure our community is aware of our services. To that end, we share child care news and updates via our social media channels and through ongoing email messaging. In the event of a major development, CCRC uses Blackboard to send text messages directly to our families and child care providers. Prioritizing our communication strategy ensures those we serve know when resources are available, what policy changes mean for them, and how to register for upcoming events. We also share useful child care tips, news headlines and activities on our website blog and social media. Our CCRC4Kids Youtube channel also features Head Start at Home activities that include science projects, cooking and crafts, along with story time.
Community Education & Engagement
CCRC’s creative team produces content for internal and external audiences, enhancing communications campaigns and earning independent revenues.
