For 20 years, CCRC has been providing quality Head Start preschool experiences for three- and four-year old children across the San Fernando Valley. In 2014, the Palmdale School District began providing direct Head Start and Early Head Start services as a valued partner of CCRC.

Head Start is a comprehensive program that provides a high quality, positive preschool environment
and developmentally appropriate school readiness experiences. Our professional services include education; early childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent involvement.
Family Engagement
We empower parents to be advocates for excellence in their children’s healthy development and learning. CCRC accomplishes the following goals through the implementation of evidence-based programs.
1. Increase family literacy to promote families as lifelong educators.
2. Increase parent advocacy and educate parents in early identification of development delays
in children.
3. Educate and familiarize parents with the services provided by education, health, nutrition, disabilities, mental health, family services and parent involvement systems.
4. Increase awareness and educate on child abuse to reduce the number of child abuse incidences.
