Dear Child Care Providers,
Welcome to Child Care Resource Center’s (CCRC) inaugural Perspectives Newsletter issue for San Bernardino child care providers!
This year marks my 10 year anniversary as CCRC’s President & CEO and I’m extremely proud of what we have helped the community achieve. Our organization has changed at every level while experiencing an enormous amount of growth. We are excited that part of that growth is YOU! It’s hard to believe but next month marks CCRC’s first year serving children, families and child care professionals in San Bernardino County!
I want to thank you for your patience and cooperation with us during the transition. And, I thank you all for continuing to provide quality care every day – you give parents peace of mind while their children are in your care. At CCRC, we strive to support your education and training needs as well as update you with new laws and licensing requirements.
I’m pleased to share some of our driven mission accomplishments from our first year in San Bernardino County:
o NEW! CCRC’s Book, Toy & Resource Library is available to you at no cost! Our library is a valuable tool providing child care professionals, parents and students thousands of high quality, age appropriate resources! You may borrow up to 10 items for 30 days, speak with a child development professional and use the laminating or die cut machines to create wall decorations and educational activities! Come see for yourself! Library hours are Monday – Thursday 9am to 12pm. Please contact us for more information.
o We are also excited to announce our new Adult- Child-Infant CPR Pediatric First Aid and Child Care Health & Safety Trainings. Limited funding is available, see page 5 for more details! I encourage you to register and help us keep our children safe!
o Save The Date! Join us for CCRC’s 1st Annual Play Day on Saturday, April 12, 2014. You are invited to participate as a vendor (free) or come as a guest with your family for a day full of fun! See details on the next page.
