Furthering vour education can deepen your understanding ofa typical child development, aid in the creation of
supportive learning environments and help develop interpersonal relationships with children and families. Early
childhood education programs tend to focus on the physical, social and psychological factorsthat influence
development in children.
While ma ny schools have varied coursework and each establishment may have different job requiremeiits, the
guide below is standard for many programs.
Child Development Associate Teacher Permit
Care for and assist in the development and instruction of
children in a child care and development program in a

- Complete at least 1.2 semester units oi coursework in early -
