 • Never leave children alone in or near a car. • If you see a child locked inside a car - CALL 911!
• Teach children not to play in or near a car, even in driveways or parking lots. • Keep cars locked and keys away
from children. • Check cars and their trunks immediately if a child is missing. • Check that all small passengers have left the car once it’s parked.
    Early Care & Education Workforce Registry
Recently, the L.A. County R&Rs partnered with the CA Early Care & Education Workforce Registry to integrate the CA ECE Competencies with The Gateways for Early EducatorsTM Passport learning areas. This collaboration will enable the R&Rs to post the trainings they provide in a central location and to track participants’ training accomplishments in the Registry consistently across the county. Participants who sign up for Registry accounts will have access to the following benefits:
• Search and view the Gateways training Calendar
• Ability to register for Gateways trainings offered across L.A. County
• Check on training goals attainment with a customized virtual version of the NEW Gateways Passport • Run personalized Education and Training Reports
• Use the Resume Builder
• View the Job Board
How can Participants register for trainings?
•Participants will need to create a FREE CA ECE Workforce Registry (Registry) Profile, so that they can access Gateways training information and register for Gateways trainings online. www.caregistry.org Free Registry membership allows participants to track their training progress with a virtual Gateways Passport and to view individualized Education and Training Reports. Participants will also have access to a Resume Builder and the Job Board function on the Registry website.

R&R Team members can assist participants with identifying which trainings are needed to complete the NEW Gateways Passport. Participants will be able to find information about trainings being offered on their home R&R agency’s Training Calendar, in the R&R Newsletter, and on the Registry Training Calendar.
