Strengthening Families cafés support parents and caregivers in identifying and implementing their protective factors into their daily lives to strengthen themselves and their family. This is your opportunity to connect, build community, and share your challenges and successes through guided conversations with other families.
The Strengthening Families Protective Factors include:
– Resiliency: Parental Resiliency/ Being strong and flexible
– Relationships: Social Connections/ Parents need friends
– Knowledge Knowledge of Parenting & Child Development/ Parenting is part natural & part learned
– Support Concrete Support in Times of Need/ Everybody needs help sometimes
– Communication Social & Emotional Competence of Children/ Parents need to help their children communicate
