 LINKING ACTIONS AND IMPACT
We envision a future where healthy and strong children and families live in thriving communities. Discrete objectives over the next five years to make progress towards this desired future include:
Strong and Resilient Children and Families
❐ Secure two (2) mental health contracts (one each in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties).
❐ Double the size of the home visiting program.
❐ Create three (3) multidisciplinary pilots, which integrate different fields, to provide comprehensive services for families.
Supportive and Connected Communities
❐ Launch at least four (4) apprenticeship programs linking child care professionals, including home visitors, with community colleges in Los Angeles and San Bernardino.
❐ Recruit and license at least 10% of License Exempt providers currently receiving payment from CCRC in Los Angeles and San Bernardino.
❐ Identify and implement at least three (3) programs that support non-subsidized families utilizing fee payments and insurance billing.
Sustained Public and Political Will
❐ Engage a coalition of child care and afterschool partners who develop and pursue policy goals related to the continuum of care from 0-12.
❐ Secure supportive policy and resources from municipal and county partners to support the expansion of services for children and families.
