  Quality Start Los Angeles Enrollment
A new training opportunity is available for Los Angeles and San Bernardino County child care providers to take their program to the next level.
Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA) and Quality Start San Bernardino (QSSB) are county-wide systems
that partner with early learning providers to build upon and improve the quality of care they provide children from birth to age 5. This specialized training helps ensure children are nurtured in a high quality environment, ready for school, and prepared for life.
Enrollment is open to family child care home providers or those who are not funded through the California State Preschool Program (CSPP). Providers who choose to enroll in the QSLA program will receive free coaching and training opportunities, professional development support, incentive funds and resources, and a high Quality Start for children in their care.
Giving teachers the high quality professional development they value often leads to greater retention and a well-trained workforce. Research shows high quality, early learning experiences can improve a child’s health, social-emotional skills, and academic readiness for school.
Additional eligibility requirements include working as a licensed child care program serving children birth to five years old and in good standing with Community Care Licensing for at least six months.
QSLA Connect offers self-paced, online courses as well as live, virtual webinars and trainings from QSLA staff and community partners. All content is available in English and Spanish and new content will be added each month.
