  CPR Reimbursement
If you completed the CPR and first aid training required for child care providers, you are invited to apply for a reimbursement through Child Care Resource Center.
Funds are available through a California Department of Education grant, which allows us to reimburse providers up to $150 each for trainings completed between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. Applications will be accepted through June 30 but funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Licensed center-based staff, licensed family child care providers, and license-exempt child care providers are eligible
for reimbursement.
To apply for a reimbursement, complete the digital application here and upload a receipt and digital certificate of completion for the course. The form is available in English and Spanish and is open to any child care provider in our service area, both northern Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. Residents of the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, and San Bernardino County are eligible for funds from CCRC, except cities west of Fontana.
CPR and first aid training are required in order to comply with Community Care Licensing regulations. Due to the pandemic, CCRC is not currently offering the courses. However, a directory of approved vendors can be found
on the Emergency Medical Services Authority website. Approved Adult-Child-Infant CPR and California Child Care Pediatric First Aid classes must be 8 hours long and include 4 hours of Pediatric First Aid and 4 hours of Pediatric CPR. Class instruction can be virtual but must involve real-time interaction with the instructor. Skills practice and evaluation must be completed in-person.
Family Child Care facilities are eligible for a maximum of four reimbursements and Child Care Centers are eligible for a maximum of eight reimbursements per license. One form per person is required.
