P. 73
Figure 7: Napa: What can be done to improve the Head Start program?
Maybe a little more emphasis on writing skills.
More activities in the child's playground and more toys.
Nothing I find the program is wonderful as it is.
Maybe add a music class for kids.
Not much, but I don't understand why the kids can't celebrate holidays with classmates.
More academics, letters, numbers, shapes, etc.
More help for parents, for children.
Every month make a list of the parents, so that parents will choose a day of the week, of who can
help in their child's classroom and learn from the teacher to help their children at home. For example: When I came to class to help I learned some stuff I was able to teach my son at home. It helped me and my child.
It's already perfect.
Head Start program director and staff. Great job.
Nothing. I liked the program a lot.
I think everything is great.
It is great as is.
Adding a slide and swings to the playground.
More activities for the children - both group and individual.
A program that directly involves the parent with their child.
I think the program works well.
I think it is perfect.
Everything was great. Thank you for helping my son. You are great teachers.
Offer more meetings for parents to learn better parenting skills and give us resources to help our
children be more successful in all areas.
Everything is great.
