      Story Time
To ensure children remain engaged in learning during the stay-at-home order, Child Care Resource Center is presenting a series of virtual play groups and story times.
Our early childhood experts are planning activities that encourage adult-child interaction throughout the session and beyond.
The virtual play groups are an 8-week-long interactive experience facilitated by CCRC’s Early Care and Education Community Trainers, who engage providers, encourage interaction and strengthen child development. Participants are required to register and commit to attending all sessions. Once you register, an email will be sent to the email address you have provided with details on how to join the cohort. Here are the upcoming start dates:
• Tuesday, March 23rd: 10:30am - 11:30am • Tuesday, March 23rd: 2:30pm – 3:30pm
• Thursday, March 25th: 10:30am - 11:30am • Tuesday, March 30th: 10:30am - 11:30am • Tuesday, March 30th: 2:30pm - 3:30pm
If you refer to CCRC’s events and trainings calendar, you will see the virtual story time sessions occurring on a regular basis throughout the week.
We invite you and your children to join us for an exciting read-aloud story time over Zoom. During these free, live, interactive sessions, children develop language and communication skills, learn to use context and pictures to help identify new words, engage in exploration and awareness of the world around them and develop and understanding of themselves, their community and culture.
For a complete schedule of events and workshops, check out the calendar here.
