P. 78

Figure 12: Sepulveda: What can be done to improve the Head Start program?
 I'm happy with the program. Day by day we learned something different.
 Enforce parents to do volunteer hours.
 I like the program structure but wish it had longer hours.
 Nothing. You guys are doing just perfect.
 I think that the Head Start program needs to have a little more time or more hours.
 I don't have any improvements in mind.
 I have no suggestions. It's a wonderful program.
 Everything is excellent. Very good job.
 Communication with the parents. More explicit meetings.
 I agree with how you manage the program.
 The program in general is very good, but I think that the meetings are in need of addressing more
areas.
 More coordination and communication
 That bathrooms be built or opened so that parents could use them when they need to use them.
 The Head Start program is great as it is. Keep up the great work!
 Work with the letters and numbers in projects like in the beginning of the year. There was less
dedication at the end.
 I think you have everything covered.
 It would be great if the children had half an hour or an hour more of class time.
 For me everything you do with the children is fine.
 For my family, everything is fine.
 Nothing. Everything is fine.
 Ask the parents to get more involved in the meetings at the school and help the teachers a little
more.
 I think everything is well organized.
 I think it's great. Thank you for giving my daughter the opportunity to attend.
 That parents participate more during meetings.
 Everything is great
 More hours of class time
 Change teachers during mid-semester, have handouts in Spanish for parents for those that do not
speak English. Do not refer children to get evaluated solely on the fact that child cannot
communicate well with teachers.
 Have more classes/workshops during the day.
