More Than School Supplies: Investing in Children’s Futures

As summer winds down and families begin preparing for a new school year, many parents are making lists of everything their children need to succeed in the classroom. Backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other essentials may seem like simple items, but for many families, these supplies represent a significant financial burden.

Access to school supplies is about much more than having the right tools for class. It’s about ensuring every child starts the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Something as simple as having a backpack stocked with notebooks and pencils can help them feel a sense of belonging and readiness from day one. For families facing economic challenges, however, purchasing school supplies can compete with other essential household expenses. When children arrive at school without the materials they need, it can create unnecessary barriers to learning and impact their confidence.

This is why CCRC’s annual school supply giveaways are such an important part of our work and our mission.

Join us for CCRC’s 2026 School Supply Giveaways

CCRC will host in-person School Supply Giveaway events on Sábado, Julio 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at four locations across our serves area:

All families must register here to attend and are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are available while quantities last.
