CCRC teams up with Ontario Reign hockey team to benefit families

CCRC is once again headed to the ice to help families score big! Since 2022, our partnership with Ontario Reign, a professional ice hockey team in Ontario, California, has benefited families across the Inland Empire.

Fans at the 2025-2026 American Hockey League season home games will see an electronic message on the digital board around the rink promoting CCRC’s services. For six home games, staff will host a table in the arena to provide information to families about our services, classes, training and development calendar, and upcoming San Bernardino Family Play Day. The goal of CCRC teaming up with Ontario Reign is to raise awareness about our services and connect with families and community members.

We will also be the presenting partner of Women’s Sports Night on Sunday, March 1, and the Read to Reign program, which encourages local students to read more.

Additionally, on March 1, Ontario Reign will promote a diaper drive for our agency. Fans who attend the game are encouraged to bring a pack of diapers- or more! Diapers are an essential and expensive item. Infants use twelve diapers, and toddlers typically go through eight each day. Disposable diapers can cost $70 to $80 per month for a single baby, and nearly 1 in 3 American households cannot afford diapers. All donations to CCRC are distributed to families and child care providers in need in various ways: one-on-one requests, monthly distributions, large events, and through the Family Basic Needs Center and food pantry. Donations can also be made online for those who would like to participate at any point in the season.

Like CCRC, the Ontario Reign believes in uplifting families in its community. That’s why this partnership made sense for both organizations.

The Ontario Reign began play as a minor professional team in 2008 and became a professional team in the 2015–16 season. The team is affiliated with the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and plays its home games at the Toyota Arena in Ontario.
