CCRC is pleased to announce the promotion of Becca Patton to Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer effective November 2, 2026.
In this executive leadership role, Becca will oversee CCRC’s Communications, Government Relations, Research, and Statewide Partnerships- divisions. She will work directly with CCRC President Donna Sneeringer as part of the agency’s Executive Leadership Team, helping advance strategic priorities that support children, families and the early childhood workforce, as well as help strengthen partnerships across sectors and align communications, policy, research, and statewide collaboration to advance the agency’s mission.
A Career Dedicated to Children and Families
Becca brings more than 20 years of experience advancing policies, building partnerships, and developing solutions that strengthen early childhood systems. Her career began in a preschool classroom and evolved into a leadership position focused on improving early learning opportunities for children, families, and child care providers.
Before joining CCRC, Becca managed Jumpstart programs at California State University, Northridge, and Pepperdine University. She also helped expand Reading Partners to serve 750 students across Los Angeles County and supported Los Angels Universal Preschool (LAUP) campaigns that secured an additional $100 million for early learning.
Becca later held leadership roles at First 5 LA, including Senior Policy Strategist and Director of Early Care and Education. During her time there, she helped advance early learning policy, strengthen home-based child care, and build partnerships with advocates and providers throughout Los Angeles County. Working alongside partners, she helped secure more than $1 billion for early learning and supported the development of a new home-based child care portfolio.

Advancing Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at CCRC
Throughout her tenure at CCRC, Becca has led the Connecting California Families initiative and federally focused Government Relations teams. As a Senior Director of Innovation and Strategy, she has helped establish partnerships with national, state, and local organizations to develop systems that better serve children, families, and early childhood professionals.
Her promotion builds on this work and positions her to bring together communications, policy, research, and statewide partnerships to advance CCRC’s organizational priorities and strengthen collaboration across the early childhood field.
“Under Donna’s leadership, our colleagues in the Office of Strategic Engagement have built a strong foundation, and I am delighted to build on that work in this next chapter at CCRC,” said Becca. “After three years with the Statewide Initiatives and Government Relations teams, I am excited that this role brings together Communications, Government Relations, Research, and Statewide Initiatives. Together, we can strengthen the work that cultivates well-being for children, families, and early childhood professionals across California.”
With Becca’s leadership and experience, CCRC looks forward to continuing its work with partners to build stronger systems, expand opportunities, and create lasting positive change for children and families. To learn more, please visit our website.
