CCRC’s Laughs4Literacy event served up big laughs and great food

Over 120 adults attended CCRC’s 2nd Laughs4Literacy event on Tuesday, June 13 at Lucky Luke Brewing Co. in Palmdale. Comedians Michael Burnett, Adam Cozens, TK Kelly and Brandon Keller kept everyone laughing throughout the night and attendees enjoyed delicious Mexican food from the food truck Los Tamaleros.

All proceeds from this event will be used to support CCRC’s literacy campaign What A Difference A BOOK Makes.  This year marks our 8th year in collecting and distributing books in our service area. CCRC’s goal is to collect and distributed 100,000 books every year and, to date, we have collected close to 800,000! We’re hoping to reach 1 million within the next 12 months!

A special thanks to Lucky Luke Co. Brewing for donating the venue for the 2nd year in a row and to all of the attendees.
