Palmdale, CA – Child Care Resource Center (CCRC), a leading non-profit agency serving local children and families, announced today the purchase of its current Antelope Valley office located at 250 Grand Cypress Avenue in Palmdale. CCRC has occupied a large portion of the building as a tenant since September 27, 2010 and has been providing early care and education services in the area for the past 24 years.

More than 70 staff at the Grand Cypress location will continue to provide child care financial assistance to about 7,000 community children enabling their parents to attend work or school; offer training, technical assistance and other workforce development opportunities to over 2,700 child care providers; and will continue to partner with the Palmdale School District to offer Head Start preschool and wraparound services to 1,500 children ages birth to five.

“We have talked about purchasing a property for many years and we’re pleased to make this vision become a reality today,” said CCRC President & CEO Michael Olenick. “I would like to, in particular, thank Adrian Stern, Rick Pearson (CRESA Partners), Arlet Hur (Grandpoint Bank), Sam Balisy (Kutak Rock LLP), and Owen Solomon (Shoreline Law) for their support and assistance in making it happen. This purchase is our dedication and commitment to Antelope Valley families.”

The agency will celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Elected officials, prominent area businesses, residents, and community partners are expected to attend.
