New Head Start Center in the Antelope Valley!

To better serve our community, Child Care Resource Center is excited to announce a new Head Start location in the Antelope Valley is now accepting enrollment applications for children age 0 to 5.

The new Head Start facility is located at 808 W. Newgrove St. in Lancaster. It’s the 26th CCRC-operated Head Start serving low-income families in Northern Los Angeles County.

Due to the pandemic restrictions, children enrolled at the new Lancaster Head Start will participate in a virtual program. We plan to welcome families in to our physical site as soon as state and local leaders declare it safe to resume normal operations.

Until then, families can continue receiving high quality programming complete with weekly learning and activity kits to take home, grab and go meals at select locations, access to diapers and wipes, and comprehensive services.

Teacher’s in our award-winning CCRC Head Start program hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or a related field and provide support for your child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth and development.

CCRC has been providing quality Head Start preschool for children ages 3 and 4 across the San Fernando Valley for over 20 years and expanded our services in 2009 to offer Early Head Start to Antelope Valley children ages 0-3.

Head Start professionals assist parents and children with education and early childhood development, medical, dental & mental health, nutrition, and parent involvement.

Families enrolled with Head Start benefit from our CCRC Head Start nutrition program, which provides meals through the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Enrolling in CCRC Head Start also includes health, nutrition, and family services, as well as assistance with mental health challenges and other disabilities for children and families.

This new facility is opening enrollment up to children age 0-5 and we encourage families to sign up by clicking here.

To be eligible for CCRC’s Head Start program, families must qualify under the Federal Income Poverty guidelines. Income requirements may be waived for special circumstance or disability, but must not exceed a specific amount.
