Home Visiting

CCRC’s Home Visiting program connects expectant parents and families with children 0-5 years old with a supportive educator who shares helpful tools, resources and is there to celebrate your child’s development every step of the way.

As members of our free, voluntary program, parents can receive:

  • Visits at home, at local CCRC office, or virtually, with a certified Parent Educator or Family Support Specialist for up to five (5) years
  • Help finding necessities such as diapers, wipes, food, and other resources
  • Free health and developmental screenings to see how your baby is growing
  • Fun activities to help your baby grow, learn, and get ready for school
  • Direct support toward your well-being, parenting, and other support group

Eligibility

This program is open to families residing in:

  • Los Angeles County who are expectant or new parents caring for a child up to 3 years old and who live in the Antelope, San Fernando, and Santa Clarita Valleys
  • San Bernardino County who are expectant and/or new parents caring for an infant up to 3 months

Home Visiting Services

Our Home Visitors are trained to use trusted, evidence-based parenting curriculums that give you the latest information and support for your child’s growth:

  • Los Angeles County: Parents as Teachers
  • San Bernardino County: Partners for a Healthy Baby

Both programs are designed to help you feel confident and supported as your child grows. Home Visitors provide individualized support and information based on your child’s age, including:

  • Fun parent-child activities that will help your baby grow
  • What to expect from your child as they get older and ready for school
  • Bonding, attachment, and breastfeeding support
  • Help in setting and reaching your personal and family goals
  • Health & wellness screenings for your child
  • Referrals and connections to community resources

Family Events

In Los Angeles County, families are also invited to monthly events called Group Connections. Each session provides a safe place for families to receive local resources, talk about their child’s development, gain new parenting ideas, and discuss concerns while connecting with other families through fun activities! Group Connections are offered in English and Spanish.

San Bernardino County families are invited to attend monthly Parent Cafés hosted at our CCRC Victorville Office. Additional family engagement events such as play groups, or parent trainings can be found on our event calendar.
