CCRC Staff Share their 2020 Census Message

It’s a once in every decade event and our CCRC staff are continuing to remotely share the importance of completing the U.S. Census with their families and community.

On Census Day – April 1, 2020 – our staff took their enthusiasm to social media! Staff from our headquarters in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, and Victorville shared their “We Count” spirit by posting a photo of themselves wearing either a shirt, hat, glasses, or button promoting the census and sharing it to their network.

We even had the future generation proudly display their gear! Children 0-5 are often the most under-counted population in the census but together we are working hard to turn that around for the future of our families and community.

Additionally, we’ve recently been able to offer food distribution and diaper drive thru events to families and child care providers in our programs. Not only did we help alleviate some of their burden, we also provided them with flyers and a Counting Book by First 5 to help them learn more about being counted in this year’s census.

It is not too late to be counted. The count continues until August 14th.  As #TeamCCRC, we will continue to inform families, child care providers, and community members about completing through our work.
