Using Numbers and Math to Support Dual Language Learners

Math activities support Dual Language Learners’ (DLL) ages 0-5  concept development while promoting home and second language development.

In this training, you will learn:
– Strategies for developmentally appropriate sorting and classifying
– Its connection to number sense and problem-solving within the lens of supporting Dual Language Learners (DLLs)
– That making sense of numbers and math with young children is enhanced by using materials often found in your home

*This training is for LA County providers only.

This training fulfills 2 hours in the Competency Area: Child Development and Learning (CDL)
